Log used to cycle @ midnight -> noSPAMtoday.log~ and a new noSPAMtoday.log. I could then save these .log~s for a week or so before overwriting. Now I seem to have to manually (from Administrator) restart the service to get the log cycled. Is there something I'm missing? Cycle log file after [days] is set to 1.

There were no changes in the software with regard to this, and the switch to daylight saving time was a few months ago so midnight is still midnight.
To be on the safe side, check your date/time and timezone settings.

Don't have DST here. Time is GMT+4. NTPTime (server service) keeps it accurate from the european pool of ntp.org. Latest log starts 09:35 Aug 2 (correct) until 09:36 today Aug 4 when I did a "restart server" from the admin client.

We will have a close look on this feature before next release, and see if there is a problem.

Just FYI - we have 3.0.3.6 and still have this issue, log cycles correctly most of the time, but several times a month I have to manually cycle the service to get the log to cycle properly. Annoying, but not terrible.
Thanks...

There can be a scenario where the Windows OS denies renaming noSPAMtoday.log to noSPAMtoday.log~. I'm thinking for example about having the log file opened in an editor.
Renaming the file then just silently fails, and logging continues in the same file.
Use an editor that doesn't lock the files it displays, or always open a copy only.
Or don't leave the file open overnight.

I never open the file on the server, I always copy to another machine over the network and read from there. Its not as much of an issue lately, but every now and then I have a problem with the log file not cycling properly.
Thanks...
