I have NST setup on a stand alone server from my main mail server.
It then relays on all email filtered or not filterd to my live mail server.
The question I have is what happens if the live server for any reason can't be contacted as in its down or the connection is down.
What happens to mail, does NST act like a smart host and hold onto it or is the mail simply lost?
Any answers would be great thanks?

NoSpamToday! does not queue incoming mails, so when your mail server is
down no mails will be accepted. The built-in fault tolerance of the SMTP
protocol takes care that these mails are re-sent at a later point in time,
making sure that no mail gets lost.
