License/Usage Terms

Below we have summarized our license terms briefly.

• The freeware version is restricted to personal and non-commercial use. It is limited to collect data for up to 25 data sources and does not support alert notifications.
• Licenses other than the site license may be installed and used on up to 10 computers owned by the licensee and located on one property owned by this person, company or institution (e.g. campus or business premises).
• Site licenses may be installed and used on any number of computers owned by the licensee and located on one property owned by this person, company or institution (e.g. campus or business premises).
• Enterprise licenses may be installed and used on any number of computers owned by the licensee.

Software Maintenance and Support Terms

Any Bytemon license includes 12 months of software maintenance and priority support.

During this time

• [Upgrade Protection]: You can always download the latest version for free - this includes access to all maintenance releases and all new product versions with additional features.
• [Priority Support]: You are entitled to receive priority email support.
• You can upgrade to any of the larger licenses at any time by simply paying the price difference.
• You can log into our Customer Service Center to re-request your license key, purchase license upgrades or renewals with discounts at any time.

The Software Maintenance can be renewed after one year. The renewal discount is 75% on the current list price of the original license, in effect when the renewal is ordered. For your convenience, we will give you advance notification by email before your maintenance plan expires.

Please note that after expiration, you will no longer be able to install new versions of the software, and you will also not be able to extend your Software Maintenance plan without purchase of a new license. In the case of support issues, priority is always given to customers with maintenance contracts.
