Material used to construct this palace was bought from different parts of the country.
In 1828 this fort was destroyed by an unexplained fire but the structure still remains to be a tourist attraction. There is a musical fountain show, which has been constructed at an expense of Rs 1.25 core. The ticket costs Rs 25 per head. Booking time of the show is in between 6:30 to 8:30 PM and the shows start from 7:00 PM onwards.

Also, there are various antique musical instruments displayed in the museum. The entry fee is just Rs 15 and it is open 7days a week from 9am to 6pmAga Khans Palace

This is one of the top tourist destinations in Pune.

In my organization we are required to have TLS capability on our email server. If I enable pass-through mode in Cleanmail with the TLS=true switch, spammers get mail through because they simply initiate a TLS connection and Cleanmail does not filter it.

Cleanmail needs a way to filter mail even if TLS is used. Basically, Cleanmail should have the ability to install/create a certificate and be able to handle it's own TLS connection even if the underlying SMTP server does not.

It would be nice to have CleanMail automatically download the new updates and maybe have an option to click a button in the Admin to install itself quietly.

Rather than visiting the website, selecting CleanMail Server, selecting download, selecting save or run, starting the install and answering the default questions. I know this is easy enough, but multiple steps can be consolidated down to 1.

This is intentional, meant to inform the sender that his message was not received completely.

You can change this behaviour. We did not think that anyone would want it otherwise, so this setting is not visible in the attachment filter setup wizard, you have to edit the configuration file nospamtoday.cf with a text editor instead.

Find the attachment filter config section in the config file, and add the following line to this section:

BlockListPolicy="accept/deliver"

The default setting is "reject/deliver".

Post Edited (02-17-05 12:13)

It would be very helpful if you had an additional policy for blocked Html . So often the reject/deliver comes into force for an "HTML attachment that is only a copy of the email text". The mail is delivered but the sender gets an annoying and inaccurate delivery failure report.
We need an: "Attachment blocked, but email delivered report instead"

Just an idea:

When you receive a spam-tagged message, it could be great if the message contained a link to an automatic "whitelist sender e-mail/domain" service on the server running NoSpamToday.

That would allow the users to maintain the whitelist themselves, and save the administrator from constant logins to the NoSpamToday server to maintain the list...

Best regards,

Can we have an exclusion list of IP addresses or reverse DNS names (with wild cards) such as *mx.domain.com which will bypass the DNSBL filter checks?

We would like to reject/delete the messages from blacklisted hosts but pass known machines.

There is no need to repeatedly check our backup MX or ISP servers and worse still if one gets blacklisted overnight we could reject a lot of our own inbound mail...

Thanks

Hi..

I would like the ability to click an IP from the Top Spam Hosts report and have the ability to auto-magically add it to the blocked host IP list.

And, before actually adding the IP to the list, do a check to see if it already exists in the list and prompt me if it does.

Thanks for the consideration...

To prevent an open relay, I have to provide the recipient adresses with or without wildcards. That works as it should but unfortunately we're receiving mails to internal distribution lists from external sources but this is not desired. To prevent that I would have to create a list with all valid adresses, but how about an additional text field where I enter all mail adresses for which I don't want to accept mails?

That would be a lot easier than to maintain a big list of valid adresses...

I'm looking for a way to only pass e-mails from specific senders to the Spam Assassin filter. For example I would only like to pass *.com, *.net, *.edu, and *.org e-mails to my spam assassin filter, all others I would like to be thrown out. Putting these directly in the Spam Assassin Whitelist would pass all e-mails from these domains, and I do not what to guess at all the possible domains that are not in this list to fill in the Blacklist. I run a VERY small e-mail server, and do not receive or want to receive e-mails from outside this short list.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

Just read up some info on DNS SPF records online (http://spf.pobox.com).

Wondering if the No Spam Today! SMTP Proxy would have an add-on to check this in the future.

The idea actually is pretty good, and it will stop at least spoofed addresses from AOL as they have implemented SPF records. Still waiting on Yahoo and some other larger companies as well.

It would be nice to have an option to place the score in all mail. This would eliminate the tedium of lokking into every header, when trying to optimize the thresholds. For users who find it ann0ying to see it in of the thier mail, It could be activeated for only a day or two, to get a good sampling to base the new thresholds on.

Good day and Compliments,

I am writing this letter in confidence believing that if it is the wish of God for you to help me and my family, God almighty will bless and reward you aboundantly and you would never regreat this. I am a female student from University of Burkina-Faso, Ouagadougou. I am 18yrs old. I'd like any person who can be caring, loving and home oriented. I will love to have a long-term relationship with you and to know more about you. I would like to build up a solid foundation with you in time coming if you can be able to help me in this transaction.Well,my father died earlier two months ago and left I and my junior brother behind. He was a king, which our town citizens titled him over sixteen years before his death.

I was so sincere to him and I am the only person who can take care of his wealth now because my junior brother is still young and my mother is dead He left the sum of USD USD 5,000, 000.00 dollars (Five Million, US Dollars) in a Bank. This money was annually paid into my late fathers account from Shell petroleum development company(spdc)and chevron oil company operating in our locality for the compensation of youth and community development in our jurisdiction.I don't know how and what I will do to invest this money somewhere in abroad, so that my father's kindred will not take over what belongs to my father and our family, which they were planning to do without my present because I am a female as stated by our culture in the town.

Now, I urgently need your humble assistance to move this money from my father's account bank to your bank account and I strongly believe that by the grace of God, you will help me invest this money wisely.I am ready to pay 15% of the total amount to you if you help us in this transaction and another 10% interest of Annual After Income to you, for handling this transaction for us, which you will strongly have absolute control over.If you can handle this project sincerely and also willing to assist me in lifting this fund, kindly reach me.

Also I and my Only Brother have left There To Abidjan Please, note that this transaction is 100% risk free and I hope to commence the transaction as quick as possible,

Prior to uploading to the internet, I test PHP programs which send mail using the Mail ( function.

I presume this uses the O/S SENDMAIL command. I try to test these programs by directing mail from/to my local domain, but alway receive a

HTTP: (receive) Connection reset by client

and the mail is never received. This only started when I implemented NoSpamToday.

It would cause serious downtime if I had to do testing on the production sites.

Any help?

Thank you.

Hi there,

It looks like dynablock.njabl.org no longer works with NoSpamToday's default configuration.

At http://njabl.org/dynablock.html, it says:

The dynablock zone has been emptied and the dynablock.njabl.org zone will be shut
down in the near future. If you're still using dynablock.njabl.org, it's long past time to
switch to pbl.spamhaus.org.

If I'm reading things correctly, NoSpamToday still refers to this blacklist in its default SpamAssassin configuration. This means that the SpamAssassin scores will become that much less useful.

SpamAssassin 3.2 comes configured to use zen.spamhaus.org (which includes pbl.spamhaus.org), but the 3.1.7 NoSpamToday uses is now out of date.

You can use the 3.2 configuration with 3.1.7 -- I've been doing this for some months, and have had no problems.

To do this, you'll need to edit local.cf in "C:\Program Files\No Spam Today!\sa\ruleset".

Add something like
score RCVD_IN_NJABL_DUL 0
score __RCVD_IN_SBL_XBL 0
to turn off both the NJABL_DUL rule and the old SBL_XBL rule.

Then go to http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/spamassassin/branches/3.2/rules/20_dnsbl_tests.cf?revision=534459 which is the 3.2 configuration file.

Look for the lines
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Spamhaus SBL+XBL, now called Zen

and copy everything until the next
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
into local.cf. (Note that if you're using sbl-xbl as a DNSBL filter, then RCVD_IN_XBL, at least, is redundant -- you could leave those lines out.)

You will also need some scores for these: try something like
score RCVD_IN_SBL 4.3
score RCVD_IN_PBL 3.0
score RCVD_IN_XBL 4.2
(again, those go in local.cf. Adjust the scores to taste).

Incidentally, I notice that a fix has (probably) been found for the problems NoSpamToday was experiencing with SpamAssassin 3.2, so we might get a fixed version of NoSpamToday sometime. Details can be found at http://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=5557

Hope this helps!

James.

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows if the SpamAssassin that is provided with No Spam Today for Workstations is able to learn through the SpamAssassin Coach plugin for Outlook (Express).

This plugin is a very recent effort (developed on Google Summer of Code 2006) to create fucntionality to be able to teach SA with a click of a mouse.

Read more on http://sourceforge.net/projects/soc2006spamd/

I have barely any experience with SA (nor sa learn) and none with the plugin but is sounds like a valuable tool for training SA. Is anyone able to tell me more about:

What ways can be used to teach SA? Only command line?

By the way, I tried to read the manual in PDF but it's content turns out totally scrambled on my computer. If the answer I am looking for is in there, is there a HTML version of the manual?

Thanks,

Hi Folks,

i'm training the bayes filter nearly every week with lots of spam and ham, but i never see any bayes scoring in the filtered messages.

I think NST does not use bayes filtering here, although it is enabled in the local.cf

bayes_path db\bayes
bayes_auto_learn 1
bayes_auto_learn_threshold_nonspam -1.0
use_bayes 1

Do i have to create a subfolder named "bayes" in the "db" folder or does this mean that the db files begin with "bayes" ???

Greetings

---EDIT

I deleted the bayes database and created a new one. Now the bayes score are shown...

Putting the line
trusted_networks 192.168.0.
in my local.cf file (actually I put it in my user-prefs.cf) has gotten a lot of RBL checks working that originally were not. Depending on if the spam came through another relay which was listed after mine in the headers. If my header was the last one it seemed to say "trusted" and not to RBL checks. The above fix told it to ignore my IP and use another (the bad one).

As for my questions:
1. I understood that I can change the default scoring for the tests preformed by the SpamAssassin, so I set them in the user_prefs file and it seems that they're ignored, have I done something wrong? here's my user_prefs file:
# How many points before a mail is considered spam.
# required_score 10.0

#MVS Rules
rawbody SuspiciousSites /growthbuy.com/i
description SuspiciousSites messages that contain references to sites that we found as spam
rawbody NO_LongerBigger /Pleasure your partner every time with a bigger, longer, stronger Unit/i

rawbody Peniss_Enhancmeent /Peniss Enhancmeent/i

And another thing, lately I'm receiving spam emails that manage to pass the NST by using HTML table in which the spam words (like Viagra, Cialis etc.) are split into cells, one above the other and by using fixed size font they make it look like it's in the same row, like this:

A V V C P X m I A I r a b A L A o n i G I L z a e R U I a x n A M S c

$69,95 $85,45 $99,95

Is there a way I can block them too?

Thanks,
Yuval.

Database expiry never reduces the size of the bayes_seen file, which stores the message-IDs of messages learned as ham or spam. This is a known SpamAssassin bug (#2975), which will probably be fixed with SpamAssassin version 3.1.

See also this URL for a discussion of this bug:

http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2975

With earlier versions, the bayes_seen file may grow to considerable size, which can cause performance problems. If you find your bayes_seen file (located in the sa\db subdirectory of your installation) is very large (more than 20MB), you should replace this file with an empty one as a workaround.

An empty bayes_seen file is part of the pre-trained database included with the installer of NoSpamToday!, but you can also download it separately here:

http://www.nospamtoday.com/download/start.php?file=bayes_seen.zip

This file works with SpamAssassin versions 3.0.1 or later.

When installing the latest upgrade, I *unchecked* the option to install a pre-learnt Bayes database as we've been training ours for several months.

We collect all spam that isn't trapped in a central folder on the network and once a day run SA-LEARN on all the messages in this folder. SA-LEARN skips any messages that it's already processed so we usually get a report along these lines:

Learned from 50 message(s) (1858 message(s) examined)

Where 50 is the new spam messages that have been received since we last ran the learner. So it skipped 1808 messages as it had already learnt from these on previous occasions.

However, after upgrading and running the learner, it reported:

Learned from 1491 message(s) (1858 message(s) examined)

Which suggests to me that it had forgotten about them due to the upgrade - is this because it's overwritten the database even though I unchecked the box? But if it had overwritten the database, why hadn't it learnt from all 1858 messages? I can understand a few duplicates but not nearly 400 of them.

It's not the end of the world as we do have this central copy of spam collected over the past 30 days (spam in the collection folder over 30 days old is deleted) so we can at least re-learn these messages.

Cheers, Rob.
