Hello,

I'm posting this here in the hope that some other users may have solved the same issue.
I emailed this to support last week but they haven't responded (yet).

CleanMail is consuming huge amounts of system memory on our server. When the service is started the memory usage is initially small, but grows steadily and doesn't seem to stop.

The server is of the following spec:

Windows Server 2008 R2. – 64bit

Xeon E5504

8GB RAM

This cleanmail installation was just installed yesterday, having been previously installed on an older server.

It was done as a fresh install and the config files were copied over from the old install.

It appears to run ok, and even when it was consuming excessive memory there was actually very little email traffic going through the cleanmail software.

Performing a ‘apply settings – quick restart’ of the cleanmail service resolved the problem and the memory usage went down to 14MB as you can see the spike in the chart.

However, it appears to be slowly increasing it’s memory usage again.

I have been doing the 'apply settings' function daily to get the usage back down.

Thanks,

David
