I have a long standing NST 2.3 version running on my server, but lately it's letting spam through in droves. I attempted to changed the required score from 5.5 down to 4.8, but it's completely ignored even though the admin panel shows the correct value, as well as the .cf file:

X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.5 (2006-08-29) on cogbot
X-Spam-Level: ***
X-Spam-Status: No, score=3.2 required=6.3 tests=NO_DNS_FOR_FROM,NO_REAL_NAME,
SPF_HELO_PASS,SPF_PASS autolearn=no version=3.1.5

It seems to be stuck on 6.3. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled NST, and it still always ends up with a required score of 6.3.

Was there a solution to this issue?
I'm having the same problem with "Required Score" being stuck at 6.3 using NST 3.1.5.1

I have tried changing the setting "Required Score" in the SA Wizard dialog and manually in local.cf Where is 6.3 configured?

Thanks
/Mattias

This seems to happen sometimes when an earlier installation of SpamAssassin has left files on the system.

Look for .spamassassin directories and files in your system root, doucments and settings directories etc., and delete them.

Use spamassassin -D to find out what files spamassassin is using (see the FAQ page for spamassassin -D examples), and where they are. Delete all files not part of the NST installation (in the sa subdirectory of the installation directory).

Deleting C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\.spamassassin\user_prefs

did the trick for me.

Thanks!
