Hi,
We are evaluating NST for our environment, and would like to get NST users input on the different loads they put on their NST installations.

We currently have over 1000 domains which we administer, and most of them have a catch all account. So the number of email addresses is unknown.

- How many domains do you successfully run on NST?
- What "horse power" do you use for the server?
- Do You have any backlog at times for processing messages?

Many thanks in advance
Amir

We run NST on a P4 nearly 3GHz server with at least 2GB of RAM and SCSI Raid 0+1 storage system. Typically on an HP DL360 or similar model server. We process sometimes over 50,000 mail messages per day for a company of about 300 employees. We've had to tweak the performance settings, as if you get more than a couple instances of spamassassin running at any given time, it will bog down the server performance, as SA is very CPU intensive. The better your CPU horsepower, the better off you will be. I think for SA, its better to have more CPU power, than focusing on RAM. Although if you can afford to get both, more power to you! We have about 10 domains or so, and receive quite a bit of SPAM!

Thanks...
