SPAM that used to be blocked effectively is now getting through, and it seems like some of the Bayes Learning has gone away.

I notice this expire batch file- what is expiring and does it happen automatically and, if so, how can I STOP automatic expiration?

To keep the Bayes database (a database of words and their correlations) from growing indefinitely, older tokens need to be expired now and then.

If you stop automatic expiration, be sure to run it regularly from the task scheduler, otherwise the database might get very large and slow down spam checking.

Please see also the manual, section 6.1.2.

More comprehensive information about learning and database expiry is available here (or in the sa\doc subdirectory of your installation):
