whitelist apparently failing [message #602] Mon, 06 December 2004 06:53

When I send the GTube test string from an e-mail address contained in the whitelist (using wildcard character in whitelist, e.g. *@isp.com), the message is rejected as SPAM.

Is the whitelist not working? If this is not a good test, what is? I had an instance of a real e-mail being bounced from a sender from a whitelisted domain.

This happened in v2.0.1.2 and again in v2.0.1.4.

I don't want to implement this upgrade for my clients until I know the whitelists are working.

Great work, otherwise, I love the new version, especially the honeypot. Has been an easy sell to my clients to pay the upgrade costs. Kudos!

Thanks.

Please check the "X-Spam" headers of this email to see what tests
were triggered.

Please note that the GTUBE score is +1000 whereas USER_IN_WHITELIST
has only -100 (see http://spamassassin.apache.org/tests_3_0_x.html and
check the "X-Spam" headers of the mail in question).
The whitelist feature works, but it can't be tested using GTUBE.

Thanks for the nice words!
