cant get sa-learn to work, what am i doing wrong [message #628] Tue, 24 August 2004 16:10

I have made the following settings in the local.cf file:

bayes_path db\bayes
spam_level_char *
spam_level_stars 1
bayes_auto_learn 1
bayes_auto_learn_threshold_nonspam -1.0
bayes_auto_learn_threshold_spam 12.0
use_bayes 1

but when i get an email through in the header it says the following:

X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.63 (2004-01-11) on myserver
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=no version=2.63
X-Spam-Level:

so why does it not say:
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=yes version=2.63

I am having mail slip through for the normal viagra crap, yet i also see that the antidrugs ruleset is also installed, well i say it is, the file is in the directory for rulesets. Am I to understand, that by definition if the .cf file is in the ruleset folder it will apply it?

Any help would be great.

Please note that the mail in question got a score of 0.0 (hits=0.0, tests=none) and
thus does not get auto-learned.
SpamAssassin requires at least 3 points from the header and 3 points from the
body to auto-learn as spam. If either section contributes fewer points, the message
will not be auto-learned.
Please see http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/AutolearningNotWorking for
further information on this issue.

Yes.
