Since I installed the NoSpamToday 2.0 version, I have noticed about an 80% increase in the amount of spam getting through to my users mailbox(es).

I have done the learn procedure, and I have updated to the two small release updates since that time.

What is going on? Have the spammer's figured out how to get around nospamtoday?

Has this happened to everyone else as well?

Are you working on methods of 'catching' more spam?

Sincerely,

Sharlene England

The developers of SpamAssassin 3.0 said that the scores of the new version were intended to be a little less aggressive, because they were worried about too many false positives in the 2.0 version.

If you do not share this concern about false positives, decrease the required score. NoSpamToday! now ships with a default required score setting of 4.8 (compared to 5.0 in the SpamAssassin distribution).

Some people reduce the score to as low as 3.0, while others find 5.0 still too aggressive.
