I noticed that the autolearn is not activated when the score is negative, especially for the whitelist mails.

Here are the headers for a mail from support@byteplant.com :

X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.0.2 (2004-11-16) on yoda.lord-ing.com
X-Spam-Level:
X-Spam-Status: No, score=-99.3 required=4.8 tests=AWL,BAYES_50,NO_REAL_NAME,USER_IN_WHITELIST autolearn=no version=3.0.2

So very few messages are learnt as ham (my learning threshold is 0.5). Is it a bug ?

No, it works as designed. Mails from whitelisted senders are never autolearned.
Please see http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/AutolearningNotWorking
