I just wanted to share this tip about McAfee with everyone.. it took me a little while to figure this out. (and now I feel silly, but nonetheless..)

The command line scanner is indeed packaged with VirusScan, but it's in the engine folder, not the main program folder. (That way, when the engine gets updated, the "scan.exe" will be automatically replaced with a new copy including the new engine. And, the DAT files will be automatically updated in the same path.)

The built in Virus Filter, selecting "McAfee Antivirus" from the vendor list, works great, but I had to change the path to this:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Network Associates\Engine\Scan.exe

Then, just set your autoupdates from the GUI-based VirusScan Console.
