Urgent!
Thanks!

If you have just migrated from NoSpamToday to CleanMail, the whitelisted addresses are still in the sa\ruleset\local.cf file and have to be moved into a newly created whitelist filter in CleanMail.

| dhubbell wrote on Fri, 30 July 2010 17:27 | I have been running CleanMail since it was first released and I always do the updates when they are available.
I found a local.cf here:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CleanMail\sa\ruleset
and here:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CleanMail\sa\share\ruleset\updates_spamassassin_org
One of them had a "byteplant" address in the whitelist, but that was it!
I found a "CleanMail_local.cf" file here:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CleanMail\sa\share\ruleset\updates_spamassassin_org\Cle anMail_local.cf
No whitelist items.
I add to the whitelist on a regular basis. I know it was there when we made the change from NoSpam Today to Cleanmail.
I noticed the Whitelist was GONE after we upgraded to 4.6.1.1.
If you say the "Whitelist" is written to the "local.cf" I'll look at my backups and see if I can find a "local.cf" with my whitelist data.
Where is the Whitelist data stored in Cleanmail?
Since we have been using CleanMail for Months...I doubt my backups will have a "local.cf" file.

CleanMail stores whitelist recipients in the
[ServerSessionManager\Ports\SMTPPort\Filters\WhitelistConfig ]
section of the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CleanMail\CleanMail.cf file.

| dhubbell wrote on Mon, 02 August 2010 17:51 | Good News! My Whitelist contacts are in the location you pointed me to:
| Quote: | C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\CleanMail\CleanMail.cf

Bad News, the Whitelist does not appear in the Cleanmail GUI. When I open Cleanmail Admin--> Click on the "Configuration" tab --> Then I click the "Whitelist" wrench to open "Whitelist" --> When I get to the "Whitelist Settings" there are no senders in the list!
To recap...my CleanMail.cf file DOES have my Whitelist senders and my GUI shows nothing!
I have rebooted the PC too.
Any suggestions?
Big relief to have found my Whitelist! Thanks! Now we need to figure out how to get the Whitelist back in the GUI.

| dhubbell wrote on Mon, 02 August 2010 17:56 | Maybe I should copy the Whitelist Senders from the CleanMail.cf and paste into the GUI?
Will this re-write the CleanMail.cf file correctly if it's corrupt?
That seems like the best option. I'll wait for your suggestions before I proceed.
Thanks!
|
Yes, this will re-write the CleanMail.cf.
Make sure the CleanMail service is restarted afterwards.

I have no idea why the "Whitelist" disappeared from the GUI.
When I enter new senders to the Whitelist I separate each address with a "space". Should I separate each address differently? Is a "space" the correct delimiter I should use?
Thanks again for your outstanding support!

Yes, use a "space" (blank) to separate addresses.
