Hi, we are running Nod32 v3.0.684 on our Windows 2003 server with CleanMail v4.0.3.1.

We're trying to configure Nod32 (ecls) to scan incoming mails for viruses. Command line looks like this:
%SCANNER% /base-dir="C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus" /arch /no-boots /mail /sfx /adware /heur /action=none /log-file=%ERR% %IN%

Result is:
...
Aug 25, 2009, 12:57:21 Session 1000: (NOD32 Antivirus) Total: files - 1, objects 2
Aug 25, 2009, 12:57:21 Session 1000: (NOD32 Antivirus) Infected: files - 1, objects 1
Aug 25, 2009, 12:57:21 Session 1000: (NOD32 Antivirus) Cleaned: files - 0, objects 0
Aug 25, 2009, 12:57:21 Session 1000: (NOD32 Antivirus)
Aug 25, 2009, 12:57:21 Session 1000: (NOD32 Antivirus) Filter result is accept/deliver (unknown result)

Emails are delivered no matter if they contain viruses!

Does someone have any idea how to solve this?

We finally found a solution.

With PATH system variable:
%SCANNER% /arch /no-boots /mail /sfx /adware /heur /action=clean /log-file="%ERR%" "%IN%"

Without system variable:
%SCANNER% /base-dir="C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus" /arch /no-boots /mail /sfx /adware /heur /action=clean /log-file="%ERR%" "%IN%"
