When I attempt to use the "Recipient Address Patterns to Disable Filter" on the DNSBL Filter, it still blocks mail from those email addresses. Am I missing anything?

This is a major problem because it is blocking AOL, Hotmail, Comcast and other providers.

This setting is about recipient addresses, not sender addresses. Use a whitelist filter for what you want.

If I install a white list, will all emails still be scanned for viruses and attachments?

No!

We are working on a change that will allow virus filters to ignore whitelisting, expect this in one of the upcoming releases.
