Hi everybody,

We arer using the "mail store" filter to backup all incoming emails.

The filter is creating nicely .msg files. But how can you read them? Sure I can look with a texteditor at them, but how would I extract any attachments etc.

The msg format used is not compatible with outlook msg format. So which application can read them?

Regards

Markus

The .msg files are in RFC 2822 Internet Message Format and can be read/imported/converted by any application supporting this standard format.

Ok. Must have been a stupid question from my side, to deserve such an answer.

Outlook and Outlook express can not read these files. So which application can, apart froma simple file or hex editor? Thunderbird?

Every mail client other than MS Outlook will do nicely.
