Hi!

In the release notes you mentioned that you add the SA image plugin. So I found this article (http://www.mail-archive.com/dev@spamassassin.apache.org/msg15757.html) that says that the file "imageinfo.pm" should exist somewhere but I don't see it, does it means that it is not installed? if so, how do I reinstall it?

Where can I find what it actually do? does it perform OCR? how can I control it?

Thanks
Yuval.

You can find more information on the plugin itself here:
http://www.rulesemporium.com/plugins.htm#imageinfo

The imageinfo.pm is compiled into the spamassassin binary.
All you have to do to use it is to make sure that there is an imageinfo.cf file in your
sa\ruleset subfolder and that the init.pre file contains this line:

loadplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::ImageInfo

I've never modified anythin in the sa\ folder or below - I assume it is safe to do so, and in fact the way to tweak and tune SA for your own preferences. However, can I confirm if there's anything I'd need to consider when installing updates, etc.?

Thanks,
Jon

The NoSpamToday! installer does not touch the following files to preserve your existing configuration settings:
- sa\ruleset\init.pre
- sa\ruleset\v310.pre
- sa\ruleset\local.cf
- sa\ruleset\user_prefs

If you want to use the new imageinfo plugin, all you have to do is to make sure that there is an imageinfo.cf file in your sa\ruleset subfolder and that the init.pre file contains this line:

loadplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::ImageInfo
